Endodontics (root canal treatment)

The term endodontics defines the entire inner life of the tooth, i.e. the root canal system and the nerves and blood vessels contained therein. A root canal treatment is therapy for inflammatory processes in the inside of the tooth and at the tip of the root.

It cleans the entire canal system and frees it from harmful bacteria. It is important to have a perfect view of the area or rather the canals. For this purpose, we use a modern surgical microscope with high resolution (OPMI). In modern endodontics, special nickel titanium instruments are used just like electrometric length measures and ultrasound activated rinsing solutions. In connection with optical enlargements aids, these preparation techniques lead to a significantly higher success rates in retaining teeth.
